Job Title: Analyst II Laboratory IT Support

Location: North Chicago, IL

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extension Possible)

Work Mode: 100% Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an Analyst II Laboratory IT Support to provide technical support for QC laboratory software and analytical instrument applications in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This is not a Help Desk or Desktop Support role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting laboratory applications, troubleshooting instrument software, ensuring GxP compliance, and maintaining data integrity across laboratory systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administration and technical support for QC laboratory software and instrument applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software, application, and instrument-related issues.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access.

• Perform backup and recovery activities for laboratory systems.

• Coordinate with software vendors and Enterprise IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.

• Support software validation, qualification, and change control activities.

• Ensure compliance with GxP regulations, Data Integrity requirements, and company quality standards.

• Maintain system documentation, audit trails, and configuration records.

• Assist with software installations, upgrades, patches, and ongoing maintenance.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives for laboratory IT systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting laboratory software and instrument applications in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated laboratory environment.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of GxP regulations and Data Integrity (DIRA) principles.

• Experience with software administration, user access management, and configuration management.

• Understanding of validation documentation and compliance requirements.

• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and Enterprise IT.

Laboratory Software Experience

Candidates should have experience with one or more of the following:

• Thermo SampleManager LIMS

• NuGenesis SDMS

• Acronis

Laboratory Instrument Experience

Hands-on experience supporting or working with:

• FTIR

• UV-Vis Spectrophotometers

• Analytical Balances

• pH Meters

• Karl Fischer Titrators

• Chromatography Systems

• SoloVPE

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in QC laboratory environments.

• Familiarity with audit trails, validation, and computerized system compliance.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and business teams.
