Junior Environmental Remediation Field Scientist
NYC / Five Boroughs Area

We are seeking a Junior Environmental Remediation Field Scientist to join a growing environmental consulting and engineering firm supporting soil and groundwater remediation projects throughout New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level environmental professional looking to gain hands-on field experience on challenging urban remediation and redevelopment projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling activities
• Support remediation oversight and environmental site investigations
• Conduct field documentation, data collection, and reporting
• Monitor subcontractors and remediation activities in the field
• Assist with drilling oversight and soil classification
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
• Ensure compliance with NYSDEC, NYCDEP, and OSHA regulations

Requirements:

• BS degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• 0-3 years of environmental consulting or field experience
• Experience with soil sampling, groundwater sampling, or remediation projects preferred
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Ability to work outdoors and travel throughout NYC job sites
• Valid driver's license preferred
