Overview
Registered Nurse, NICU – Douglasville, GA, US. Start date May 11, 2026. Travel assignment lasting 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,607 to $1,696. No guaranteed hours. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Setting: hospital-level NICU care delivered under clinical leadership with Wellstar governance and a focus on evidence-based practice and patient-family-centered care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct neonatal nursing care to NICU patients as part of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care.
- Monitor infant vitals, respiratory status, and device function; respond promptly to changes in condition and escalation of care.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, nutrition support, and pain relief under physician and nurse-manager guidance.
- Implement and adjust care plans, document assessments and interventions, and communicate shifts and changes during handoffs.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and families to support family-centered care and meet planned outcomes.
- Uphold nursing practice standards as defined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics; participate in quality improvement initiatives as directed.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work Nights in a NICU setting and to engage in neonatal patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
- Willingness to work within a hospital-based NICU environment and to adhere to governing policies and procedures
