CVRC , located in beautiful Charleston, SC, is one of the few VECCS Level 1 certified facilities in South Carolina! Our emergency center is staffed 24/7/365 to always support our community. Specialty services offered at CVRC include critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, medical oncology (radiation oncology coming soon!), anesthesia, neurology & neurosurgery, rehabilitation, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery. Our hospital is a newly renovated 32,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and houses MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiographs for advanced diagnostic imaging.
The Anesthesia Technician works to provide specialized, high-quality care to our patients undergoing anesthetic procedures. This role is highly technical and patient-focused, requiring strong anesthesia skills, advanced monitoring capabilities, and collaboration across multiple specialty teams.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care during complex procedures.
Strong anesthesia, airway management, and patient monitoring skills
Ability to perform IV catheter placement and manage complex or critical cases
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
Effective communication skills with doctors, clients, and team members
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to high-quality patient care
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, medications, and monitoring tools for treatments
Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and administer anesthesia following established protocols
Monitor and adjust anesthesia while tracking vital patient parameters during procedures
Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patients for complications
Position and prepare patients for radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging procedures
Maintain accurate anesthesia logs, medical records, and treatment documentation
Assist with radiographs, CT, and MRI positioning and image submission
Educate and communicate with clients regarding treatments, medications, and aftercare instructions
Prepare patient histories, estimates, discharge instructions, and treatment summaries
Collaborate with veterinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
You are a skilled Veterinary Technician with a strong foundation in anesthesia and patient monitoring who enjoys working in a collaborative specialty setting. You take pride in precision, remain calm in high-acuity cases, and are passionate about providing compassionate care. You value teamwork, continuous learning, and contributing to a supportive hospital culture.
