Role Overview

Hodinkee is seeking a Video Editor / Producer / Shooter to join our video team , which operates within Hodinkee’s iconic editorial department —the creative engine of the brand. Reporting to the Head of Video, this is a full-time position with a salary range of $80,000–$95,000 , and an ASAP start date .

This role is ideal for a highly creative and organized storyteller who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. You’ll work on a mix of editorial and branded content , producing videos that live across our website, YouTube channel, and social platforms. In order to succeed as a teammember, a candidate should spend time absorbing the plethora of Hodinkee’s video content–youtube, social media, branded content, and limited editions. Each pillar reflects an effective style, voice, and rhythm that embodies the Hodinkee brand style.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Video Production, including planning shoots, operating cameras, and managing on-set logistics.
  • Proficiency in Video Editing using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut and Davinci is a a plus.
  • Experience with Video Color Grading to achieve consistent and cinematic looks across different projects.
  • Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics using tools such as Adobe After Effects or similar applications.
  • Solid understanding of sound design, music selection, and basic audio mixing for polished video content.
  • Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling instincts, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in editorial, lifestyle, or product-focused video content is beneficial; interest in watches and horology is a plus.
  • Relevant professional experience or education in film, media production, communications, or a related field.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in video editing , ideally across editorial, branded, or documentary content .
  • Solid producing and project management skills: scheduling, communication, and versioning.
  • Comfortable handling camera, lighting, and sound for occasional shoots.
  • A genuine passion for watches, craftsmanship, or the luxury lifestyle space is a major plus.
  • Willingness and excitement to travel for shoots and collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Edit a wide range of editorial and branded videos from start to finish, maintaining Hodinkee’s high visual and storytelling standards. There is an immediate need to complete compelling long-form content that has already been shot.
  • Collaborate closely with the editorial, creative, and partnerships teams to develop compelling narratives.
  • Apply color correction , deliver polished edits, and produce quick-turn versions for social media .
  • Manage production logistics, schedules, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project files, efficient workflows, and clean version management throughout post-production.
  • Knowledge of After Effects and photo editing in Photoshop is highly desirable
