Job Description

Sanico, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies and floor equipment serving Central NY and Northeast PA. We are looking for a skilled Equipment Repair Technician to be based out of our Syracuse branch. The Technician will diagnose and repair a variety of floor care equipment types in the field, and at the branch in-house service shop. This position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically-inclined, enjoy hands-on work, and are looking to build a long-term career with a solid, family-owned company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair customer floor equipment, including auto-scrubbers, vacuums, extractors, and related machinery.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer service calls, managing time efficiently between field and shop assignments.
• Communicate clearly with branch staff and other Equipment Repair Technicians to coordinate repairs and share technical knowledge.
• Utilize the company ERP system to create quotes, enter orders, and ensure accurate billing of labor hours.
• Assist, on occasion, with the installation of towel, tissue, hand soap dispensers, or chemical dispensing systems at customer sites as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the field and at the service shop.

Qualifications

• Experience with small engine repair, machine maintenance, electrical systems, and batteries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and use company software systems for quoting and order entry.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Time management and organizational skills. 

Compensation

$19.50–$23.00 per hour

Monday-Friday 
800a - 430p
