This is not a role for someone waiting on direction. We’re looking for a Lead 3D Artist who lives online, tracks new tools before they’re mainstream, and turns cultural signals into scroll-stopping creative.
We’re looking for a Lead 3D Artist to lead the creation of high-quality 3D visuals across brand, motion, and digital experiences. This role is for someone with a strong artistic eye, deep technical skill, and the ability to take projects from concept through final execution while collaborating closely with creative, motion, and production teams.
You’ll be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning complex 3D work while helping elevate the overall quality of the team’s output.
Create high-quality 3D models, materials, lighting, animation, and renders
Translate creative direction and concepts into polished 3D executions
Lead 3D production on projects, from early exploration to final delivery
Collaborate with Creative Directors and Designers
Contribute to concept development, look development, and visual storytelling
Maintain consistency and quality across assets and deliverables
Optimize assets for different outputs (motion, web, real-time, interactive, etc.)
Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose smart solutions
Direct contracted artists and production studios when necessary
Stay current with emerging tools, workflows, and 3D trends
5+ years of professional experience in 3D design or motion
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level 3D craft and taste
Proficiency in tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Houdini (or similar)
Solid understanding of lighting, materials, composition, and animation principles
Experience with rendering engines (Redshift, Octane, Arnold, Cycles, etc.)
Comfortable working across multiple styles and project types
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Motion design experience
Real-time workflows (Unreal Engine, Unity)
Houdini or procedural workflows
Experience with web, XR, or interactive projects
Mentorship or informal leadership experience
