YOUR IMPACT
The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students in a PreK–8 charter school serving 449 students. This role focuses on developing individualized learning plans, monitoring and assessing student progress, and collaborating with educators and families to support both academic and social growth. The school’s mission is to create an innovative Learning Through Music program, combining an interdisciplinary music-infused curriculum, daily orchestra rehearsals and sectionals, and creative projects that engage each student’s love of music. The position primarily serves 3rd–5th grade students and requires 2–3 years of experience working with urban youth.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
• Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
• Master's Degree and certification SEI endorsement
• Experience in inclusion or Special needs classrooms
• Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
• Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
• Classroom experience MondayFriday, structured setting
• Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred
